summer inspired: favorite quotes and posts so far…

But these are written so that you may believe… ‭‭John‬ ‭20:31‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Nothing inspires and revives me more than words. My soul comes to life when I read a good book, listen to the lyrics in a favorite song, or even see them shared across social media. Once I get that HOOK? Y’all, I’m in!

Speaking of revivin’ and souls coming to life, summer tends to do that to us also, doesn’t it? When my (latest) favorite quotes and readings combine with my (all-time) favorite season, I gain the ultimate inspiration. Enjoy it with me…

“Never dull your shine to please anyone or to make someone else feel comfortable. God has placed a light within you that He has purposed to bless so many. Continue to give Him praises on social media, continue to use your gifts and talents, continue to strive for righteousness even when they mock you. You have been created to stand out. You have been called to be a light.” Ashley C., 6/26 Instagram post: http://instagram.com/farmorepreciousthanrubies

“What is your desire as a Christian? Do you long to be transformed into the image of Christ? Is your sole purpose to love and encourage those around you regardless of how different or problematic they are? This was Christ’s desire when he walked the earth, and He still seeks to accomplish this today in your heart and mine.” Read more from blogger Missy Mancia’s “Transformed by Christ” post from her website: http://www.thehomemadelife.com/transformed-by-christ/.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬ (Had to get a Bible verse in…)

And for my blogger mates… “One reason I encourage people to blog is that the act of doing it stretches your available vocabulary and hones a new voice.” Seth Godin
